My inspiration: Anselm Kiefer

The Kunsthalle Mannheim presents in a spectacular special exhibition works by Anselm Kiefer (*8 March 1945 in Donaueschingen), one of the best-known and most successful German artists after the Second World War: Anselm Kiefer in der Kunsthalle Mannheim (visit-mannheim.de)

All 19 works on display are in the possession of the Kunsthalle Mannheim and come from the collection of Hans Grothe, who died in May 2019.

His expressive works in large format and his way of dealing with materials were and are forever inspiration.
