Mannheim printing workshops in danger

Visit to the printing workshops of the BBK, the district association of visual artists, which have been based in the old fire station in Mannheim for 40 years. Now they are threatened with dismissal because the old fire station has announced their own needs and wants to expand their rooms. The second largest printing workshops in Germany - after all, printing technology is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - are in danger, with the knowledge and active assistance of the Mayor of Culture Michael Grötsch, who now urgently needs to find a solution! As a city councilor and member of the culture committee of the city of Mannheim and as an artist, I can only emphasize: the Mannheim printing workshops must continue to exist! I will support wherever possible.
